Letter to Family is below...
Every Wacky Wednesday, your child will be given the opportunity to be a “Super Scientist” of the week. In cooperation with the other three Kindergarten classes, we will have a “Science Show ‘N Tell” session where one Super Scientist from each classroom will share their experiment in accordance with cross-curricular state standards which include but are not limited to science, mathematics, listening, speaking and writing. Parents and/or grandparents are invited to attend to assist/watch their child perform the experiment but are NOT required to attend. Permission forms must be signed by a parent/guardian for the guarantee that the super scientist bag with lab coat, goggles and the experiment directions will be returned to school by the following Wednesday morning.

After classmates make predictions, Super Scientists perform their experiments and discussions develop, the children will write about the experiments in their science journal of the week. Our goal is to encourage the “Super Scientist” in each child to make explorations, inquiries and discoveries about their environment and the world around them through multi-sensory, hands/minds-on experiments that are fun for all students while multiple state standards are addressed.

Happy Experimenting!
